Extending from extensive research and investigation, both personal and archival Northern Onterrible is a bittersweet coming of age tale, a folk history and a documentary of the histories of Northern Ontario. Easily moving between somber, funny, educational, awkward, and heavy, Northern Onterrible uses experimental documentary and unconventional narrative forms to expose the mythological foundations of the idyllic small town and the concept of “home”.
